Browser Hijacking

Removing CoolWebSearch and variants (e.g. CoolSearch.com, SearchEverything.com, allaboutsearching.com, privacyoutpost.com, prosearching.com, Here4Search.com, RunSearch.com, FastSearch.cc, Solongas.com, thesten.com, find4U.net)

CoolWebSearch (CWS) is apparently a nasty little Trojan that slips in through a vulnerability in the Microsoft Virtual Machine.



It hijacks your browser and does many other annoying things. It also has a ton of variants, not all of which can presently be removed by spyware removal programs.

To prevent yourself from getting this again, you should install the patch that fixes the vulnerability, found here:
